Tarchin Hearn Meditation Retreat July/August 2015

Buddhadharma:

simple, direct and profound

A weekend of deep meditative inquiry into the roots of Being

– a life of Wisdom and Compassion –

Aio Wira Retreat Centre, Auckland  July 31st to August 2nd 2015

Buddhadharma, literally, the ‘teaching of awakening’ – the ‘tao’ or way of natural awakening, is a treasure valued and transmitted by sages of all great spiritual traditions. Buddhist forms of Buddhadharma reveal an unbroken line of oral transmission that spans 2500 years. During this period countless beings of many life styles and backgrounds have refined, reinterpreted and shared these teachings to make them accessible to others who feel inspired to lives of contemplative inquiry and compassionate action in the context of their own particular life journeys.

During this retreat Tarchin will engage us in exploration of the classical foundation teachings of Buddhadharma using analogies and metaphors from recent studies of deep ecology, philosophy and science. This retreat will offer a supportive learning environment for both those just beginning their explorations of the Dharma and those who are seeking to further deepen their practice in the ongoing complexity of everyday living.

Tarchin Hearn has studied and practiced in various schools of Buddhism for more than 40 years and has taught extensively in many countries. With such a wealth of life experience he is regarded as an elder in the tradition of innovative Buddhadharma.Tarchin lives in New Zealand with his partner Mary Jenkins.
